What’s the difference between a hostel and a hotel?
A hostel is different from a hotel because it offers not only private rooms, but also shared dorms. Besides, usually the guests of a hostel are more likely to socialize, what makes the environment specially good to meet new people and make friends.

Does Nomad offer private suites as well?
Yes, we have private suites with air conditioning and private bathroom. We have private suites with double beds, 2 single beds and 3 single beds. The suites have side or frontal view to the ocean. You can also book a dorm for a group a friends or your family. We have dorms for 4, 6, 8 and 19 people. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

What’s included?
Breakfast (self-service buffet), wi-fi, 2 computers with internet and guest kitchen with barbecue area. It includes also linen and towel. Only beach towels and blankets are not included, which we rent for R$ 3 and R$ 6 (respectively) and can be used through your whole stay.

What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in starts at 1PM and check-out must be until midday.

Can I have a late check-out?
Sim, verifique a disponibilidade com a recepção. É cobrada a meia-diária. De qualquer maneira, você pode guardar sua mala no Nomad e utilizar toda a estrutura, inclusive ducha com água quente para tomar um banho depois da praia.

Can I have an early check-in?
Yes, check with the reception. We charge half rate for it. Anyway, you’ll be able to store your luggage in Nomad and use our facilities, including a hot shower after the beach.

How far is Nomad from the main beaches?
Tartaruga, Azeda, João Fernandes e Ferradura are approximately 2km/2,5km away. Geribá is around 4km away.

What age should I be to stay at Nomad?
You must be 18 years old to stay at Nomad, except if you come with your parents. If you are under 18 and want to stay at Nomad, please send us an e-mail so we can list you all the documents you will need. Note that this is not our policy, this is legally required in Brazil.

Can I take my pet to Nomad?
Yes, but only if it’s a small sized dog that will not bark if you leave it alone. And only if you’re staying in a private.

Do I need to make a deposit in order to book a bed or a room?
Yes, to make your booking, you’ll need a deposit of 50% of the total amount of your reservation in a Banco do Brasil account (if you’re in Brazil) or by Western Union (if you’re abroad).

How does Nomad’s cancelation policy work?
We do not refund. If you have to cancel your stay, you need to let us know with at least 48 hours advance. Then we can check the availability for another date.

What’s the best way to get to Nomad?
We can book a shuttle for you from Rio’s International Airport (Galeão – GIG) or from the main hostels in Rio. Send us an e-mail asking how to book your shuttle. If you prefer coming by bus, visit the bus company website and confirm bus schedules and sits availability.

Does Nomad have its own parking lot?
No, but you can either park your car in the parallel streets or in private parking lots in the surroundings.
